Rambhakt Hanuman tore-off his chest to show Sita-Ram residing in his
heart theme big sculpture at the entrance of Parmarth Niketan Ashram; Rishikesh
city belongs to Dehradun district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is
located approximately 23 kms north of the city Haridwar, about 76 kms from Mussoorie
and 43 kms south west of the state capital city Dehradun.
Rishikesh also called “Yoganagari” is well known as “The world capital of
Yoga” situated on the
banks of holy River Ganges in the
foothills of Himalayas in northern India.
Rishikesh is a city of sages, rishis, saints and pilgrims. It is no
surprise that pilgrims are drawn here from all over the world. The inspiring
beauty of the ashram, the clear flowing Ganga, the majestic mountains and the
green forests will embrace and rejuvenate your entire being.
Parmarth Niketan is visited by a number of visitors at the time of “International
Yoga Festival” that is held every year in month of March.
