Simhachalam Temple

Lord Anjaneya Swamy tall statue is situated on the way to Simhachalam (or Simhadri) at a distance of 18 kms from Visakhapatnam in the Indian state of Andhra Pradseh.
Simhachalam Temple is dedicated to Lord Sri Varahalakshmi Narasimha Swamy, the lion-man incarnation of Lord Vishnu. ‘Simha’ means ‘Lion’ and ‘Adri’ or ‘Achala’ means Hill; the temple is located at the top of Hill, hence called Simhachalam. The central shrine was built in Kalinga architectural style. The temple is one of the eighteen "Narasimha Kshetras", the shrines of Lord Narasimha, in India.
